About, ohhhhhhhh, nine months ago my father emailed me a beautiful video accompanied by the most enchanting music I’d ever heard. I searched every dark corner of the Internet trying to locate its source. A misspelled French word, not by moi but the creator of the video, added chaos and frustration to my search. I also recruited Taerkitty’s expertise but even he was stymied – horrors! I finally let go, reluctantly. Then about a month ago, I thought, “Sacré bleu!” I forgot about Julie Riso. Alas, she and I stumbled around, too, with no success. To be honest with you, this old woman can’t remember how she broke the code and figured out the source of the song and the enchanting voice and lyrics, but I did find it. Sorry, Julie, if I'm not giving you the proper credit you deserve.
Anyway, below is one of my favorite songs. It’s not the original video. I have no clue who compiled this video. I personally think my Hip Hip Ireland over at Journalscape is far superior, but I’m pleased to present Lara Fabian and It’s a Wonderful, Wonderful Life. I suspect she’s Europe’s answer to Celine Dion, but I don’t give a fig. Snicker all you want. I LOVE this song.
Peace, Love & Granola, Reenie
